Webzen Announces Speed Server Pre-Launch Event
Webzen will launch a special Speed Server for MU Online on August 6, 2024. A pre-event begins July 15, allowing players to prepare for the accelerated gameplay experience. The limited-time server will operate for two months.
Exclusive Rewards for Rune Mage Class
Participants can earn rewards centered on the revamped Rune Mage class during the pre-event period. These include the Rune Mage Costume Set and new character customization options. The rewards aim to enhance class-specific gameplay ahead of the Speed Server launch.
Speed Server Mechanics Detailed
The temporary server features significantly increased leveling speed and progression rates. Experience gains will multiply by 500% compared to standard servers. Rare item drop rates will also receive substantial boosts throughout the event duration.
Pre-Event Schedule and Requirements
From July 15 to July 28, players must complete daily missions on any existing character to accumulate Event Coins. These coins can be exchanged for Speed Server preparation packages through the in-game marketplace. All MU Online accounts created before July 15 qualify for participation.
Competitive Leaderboard System
The Speed Server will introduce real-time rankings across multiple progression categories. Top-performing players in level advancement and dungeon clears will receive additional rewards. Rankings reset weekly during the two-month event period.
Cross-Server Progression Benefits
Players who reach certain milestones on the Speed Server will unlock permanent account-wide bonuses. These include special titles and cosmetic effects usable on all characters. Selected progression items can be transferred to main servers after the event concludes.

How to Access Speed Server Content
Players can create new characters specifically for the Speed Server starting August 6. A separate server selection option will appear in the game launcher interface. All characters created on the Speed Server will remain playable until October 6, 2024.
Future Content Roadmap
This event precedes the Season 19 Part 2 update scheduled for late October. Developers confirm the Speed Server mechanics may return periodically based on player feedback. Additional class reworks are planned through Q1 2025.
