Alpha Access Now Active for Select Participants
Sea of Remnants has officially commenced its Closed Alpha Test as of today. Approved participants can now access the build through Steam. The test phase focuses on core combat mechanics, multiplayer stability, and early-stage progression systems.
Developers emphasize this is a technical stress test rather than a feature-complete preview. All progress will be wiped before the game’s official launch. Testing remains under strict NDA, with streaming and screenshot sharing prohibited.
Character Trailer Reveals Core Roster
Accompanying the alpha launch, a new trailer showcases eight playable characters with distinct combat styles. Highlights include a chronomancer manipulating battlefield timelines and a geomancer reshaping terrain during encounters.
The trailer confirms three character classes will be available during alpha: Vanguard (tank), Luminary (support), and Breaker (DPS). Class-specific ultimate abilities feature prominently, demonstrating area control and team synergy mechanics critical to endgame content.
Testing Phases and Future Plans
This initial alpha phase will run for 72 hours with servers active daily from 12 PM to 12 AM UTC. Developers will monitor server capacity, matchmaking efficiency, and ability cooldown balancing during peak loads.
A second testing phase is planned for Q3 2024 with expanded regional server access. The development roadmap indicates potential beta access for all pre-order customers six weeks before the projected Q1 2025 launch window.
Players can still register for future testing phases through the official Sea of Remnants website. Selection priority goes to those who complete the hardware survey and community engagement requirements outlined in the registration portal.
